Our employee donation matching program allows employees to select nonprofits of their choice to donate and SGH matches up to $2,500 per employee in a calendar year. Employees are also able to donate their vacation time, which is then converted to cash donations to charities of their choice.
Through numerous charity partnerships and community events, we encourage our employees to volunteer and participate in opportunities that matter to them. Here are just a few examples of our community impact.
The Women at SGH ERG team headed up a Bay Area book drive for underserved local libraries. Employees collectively donated 127 books to local libraries.
Our team in the Bay Area partnered with Sea Hugger for a beach clean-up. Traversing over one mile of coastline, the team helped pick up plastics, micro-plastics, kids toy pieces, cigarette butts, and other waste in a larger effort to help preserve the beaches in and around Half Moon Bay.
SGH made a charitable donation towards the GlobalGiving Turkey and Syria Earthquake Relief Fund. By joining forces with over 23,000 individuals, foundations, and companies, we have played a pivotal role in enabling GlobalGiving to swiftly and effectively secure flexible funding for vetted nonprofit partners on the front lines of earthquake response in Turkey and Syria.
Our team in Brazil donated to the non-profit organization, Gerando Falcoes, to help support the recovery efforts in the northern coast of the state of São Paulo.
In partnership with Deepavali Charity organization, SGH employees shopped and provided supplies for children and families in poverty.
