Our business lines are helping enrich the quality of people’s lives in the local communities where we operate. This effort takes several forms, including matching employee donations and direct corporate giving.
Our employee donation matching program allows employees to select nonprofits of their choice to donate and SGH matches up to $2,500 per employee in a calendar year. Employees are also able to donate their vacation time, which gets converted to cash donations to charities of their choice.
In Malaysia, to fight the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we donated critical medical equipment, including sanitizers, test kits, and PPE to the intensive care units of local hospitals.
Our team in Brazil spearheaded campaign to raise awareness of the impact of food waste on the environment. There, we launched a contest to showcase how to reduce food waste by creating recipes with items that are often discarded, such as peels, roots and seeds.
At our corporate headquarters in Newark, CA, we celebrate charities such as the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Make A Wish Foundation and Wounded Warrior Project with an annual walk around the campus to raise funding.
